Voltinha reviews everything before your first ride. Partner associations may have extra criteria for their areas, published in the app.
What is the EAR?
It is the “exerce atividade remunerada” (paid activity) note on the Brazilian driver’s license (CNH), required by law to drive for an app. You request it from your state’s Detran, and it includes a psychological assessment. Time and cost vary by state.
- 18 years or older
With an ID document and a CPF (Brazilian taxpayer number).
- CNH category B or higher, with EAR
Valid and not suspended.
- A car in good order
Documents up to date, in your name or with the owner’s authorization, within the city’s rules.
- Criminal record certificate
Issued online, free of charge in most states.
- An account to get paid
A Pix key or a bank account under your CPF.
- A smartphone with internet
Android or iPhone, with location turned on during your shift.

Voltinha reviews everything and lets you know in the app.

Once approved, just start your shift and accept your first ride.

Do I need to live in the region?
No. Residents and people from outside can sign up under the same requirements. People from the region know the streets and are usually closer to the requests.
Can I drive my family’s car?
Yes, as long as the vehicle documents are up to date and you have the owner’s authorization. When you sign up, you register the vehicle and upload the authorization.
How and when do I get paid?
The passenger pays in the app and your share is sent to your account through the app, with Voltinha’s commission already deducted.
Can I take passengers outside the region?
No. Every ride starts and ends within the region served.
Do I have to work set hours?
No. You go online whenever you want and you can decline requests.
